Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in internal combustion engines, hybrid propulsion, or related powertrain hardware.
• Experience in system architecture, subsystem integration, or cross-functional technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of balancing mechanical and electromechanical systems across performance, efficiency, cost, quality, manufacturability, and timing.
• Proven ability to work independently on significant technical matters.
• Strong analytical, physics-based problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence direction and align across functions without direct authority.
• Experience leading work across multiple components or disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Define and engineer engine architectures meeting vehicle-level requirements and constraints.
• Lead technical definition of new engine concepts during BA and early product development phases.
• Own engineering deliverables during BA, including requirements, architecture tradeoffs, and readiness for gate reviews.
• Provide technical leadership to a Balance Architecture core team with clear, urgent, cross-functional alignment.
• Translate objectives into structured workstreams, design paths, and system requirements.
