Job summary

Green Recruitment Company teams with a global energy storage organization to appoint a Project Director who will lead a major utility-scale ESS project through its next phase. This senior role consolidates commercial, operational, financial, and delivery performance under one executive.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project, program, business, or financial management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• Strong leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with EPC contracts and renewable energy projects.
• Background in utility-scale BESS/energy storage projects desirable.
• MBA or additional commercial/business qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution, strategy, and operational performance.
• Develop and manage project plans covering resources, quality, communications, risk, and commercial strategy.
• Oversee project budget, forecasting, financial performance, and cash flow.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary project team.
• Manage relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Finance, Contract Management, Sourcing, Quality, and Operations teams.
• Establish project priorities and drive performance against KPIs.
• Lead monthly project reviews with accurate financial and operational reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and project best practices.
• Support customer relationships and commercial/claims strategy.
• Ensure strong compliance, quality, and EHS performance across the project.
