Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 4+ years in quantitative analysis or energy markets.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R with commercial experience.
• Strong math and statistical modeling skills.
• Power flow modeling or related software development experience.
• Experience with energy market participation rules.
• Knowledge of renewables and battery storage tech.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mathematical models and optimization algorithms.
• Use Python, R, and Excel to implement models.
• Analyze energy markets and manage price/risks for trading decisions.
• Collaborate with trading/origination/risk teams to interpret valuations.
• Design risk management tools and assess exposure.
• Review technical docs, software architecture, and project plans.
• Incorporate spot/forward price and volatility analyses into design.
• Develop energy price forecasts, forward curves, and volatility models.
