Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Energy Projects at Google Research. The role spans Mountain View and additional US locations, leading energy-focused products from ideation to deployment.

You will collaborate across engineering, data science, and business teams to deliver scalable energy innovations. Candidates should have extensive PM experience in energy contexts, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate science into actionable milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
• Experience developing and leading energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Define the overarching goal, execution roadmap, stage gates, and kill/pivot triggers.
• Guide projects from initial experiments to full demonstration prototypes.
• De-risk initiatives through phase-based risk assessments and market scoping.
• Own project budget and allocate resources for partnerships and pilots.
• Partner with Google Research AI teams to integrate AI-for-science toolkits.
