Job summary

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is seeking an Energy Plant Technician to monitor and operate the energy plant's cooling, heating, and utility systems. You will assist in running the Energy Plaza computer control systems to ensure uninterrupted services for airport users.

Under supervision, you will manage start-up and shut-down of boilers, chillers, pumps, and electrical distribution up to 25 kV; conduct routine inspections; maintain logs; and communicate status to oncoming shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of industrial power plant operations or related experience.
• Formal trade training in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, or millwright trades.
• Medical physical exam and valid Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist start-up, operation, and shutdown of boilers, chillers, and distribution equipment.
• Monitor district cooling/heating systems and energy plant controls.
• Identify malfunctions and notify appropriate personnel.
• Operate computer control console to monitor and adjust systems.
• Maintain operational logs and reports for supervisors.
