Job summary

NRECA is seeking a Senior Analyst, Energy Industry Data to analyze energy trends, develop forecasts, and create impactful analytical products for decision-making. The role requires strong economics or energy analysis background, data science skills, and the ability to communicate findings to members and stakeholders. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in economics, energy, or policy analysis related to energy supply and consumption.
• Experience applying analytical methods to assess how industry trends affect utilities and their members.
• Knowledge of the electric power industry and energy data sources.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes electric cooperative and broader energy industry data to identify trends.
• Develops research questions and analytical approaches for energy industry issues.
• Applies statistical modeling and economic analysis to test hypotheses and forecasts.
• Manages and transforms datasets from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and governance.
• Develops dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Communicates findings through reports, webinars, and presentations.
