Job Description

Pay:-$35-50/Hr Duration: 2Years Travel: Some limited travel may be required within NY State Location: Remote within NY State What skills are needed to be successful in this role:

• Experience in electric system modeling. Capacity expansion and production cost modeling experience required
• Ability to develop inputs needed to simulate NY electric markets, e.g. infrastructure representation, resource operating profiles
• Understanding of energy markets concepts
• Understanding of NY energy system, stakeholders, and policy environment
• Excellent project management experience and analytic attention to detail
• Ability to communicate modeling results to the public and key stakeholders at agencies, utilities, and interest groups
• Understanding of electric infrastructure options needed to alleviate congestion

Role Scope

• Production cost modeling (PCM) to support policy analysis and development
• Electric system modeling and evaluating electric infrastructure options
• A lot of stakeholders engagement works directly with utilities, government agencies and external stakeholders (confirmed)
• Supports a collaborative planning process
