Job summary

State of North Carolina - Department of Information Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator II to provide Tier 3 administration, engineering, and support for enterprise endpoint management and security across Windows and Apple devices, in a hybrid work arrangement with weekly onsite duty.

The role focuses on configuring and integrating Intune, Defender, BitLocker, Autopilot, Windows 365, Entra ID, MDM/MAM, Tanium, and CrowdStrike, plus scripting in PowerShell and automation to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field and three years of progressive experience in systems software programming
• Associate degree in computer science or IT related field and four years of progressive experience
• Equivalent education/experience combination may qualify

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 technical administration, engineering, escalation, and problem-resolution support for endpoint management and security platforms.
• Administer, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune, Defender, BitLocker, Autopilot, Windows 365 Cloud PCs, Entra ID, Apple device management, MDM/MAM, Tanium, CrowdStrike, and BeyondTrust Remote Support.
• Develop and implement endpoint configurations, security policies, compliance controls, automation, and monitoring across enterprise endpoint management.
• Support Windows and Apple endpoint environments including OS deployment, patching, and hardening.
• Create PowerShell scripts and automation to improve security, reliability, and efficiency.
