Allegheny Health Network seeks a Sr. Endoscopy Technician to join our medical team. You will assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, manage instrumentation, and lead service-line initiatives for inventory and quality assurance.

The role includes training staff, coordinating inventory, and supporting program advancement related to equipment and supplies. Strong knowledge of gastroenterology procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Performs all job responsibilities of an Endoscopy Technician. Knowledgeable of gastroenterology physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques being performed and assist accordingly. (50%)
• Acts as a day-to-day resource for all Endoscopy Technicians. (20%)
• Demonstrates competency of procedures, equipment, and instrumentation per applicable department policies and procedures. (10%)
• Orients and trains new staff and students. (10%)
• Maintains supplies and equipment. Ensures the integrity/condition and availability of adequate equipment. (10%)
