Confidencial in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal to provide full support to the labor and employment practice group. The role requires five years of paralegal experience in employment litigation and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation support software.

The ideal candidate will manage case files, prepare subpoenas, coordinate deposition logistics, and assist with discovery, filings, and legal research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• At least five years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
• At least five years of employment litigation experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications (Word, Excel, Acrobat, PowerPoint).
• Experience with litigation support software (Relativity, Ringtail, Summation, Concordance, Case Map, Text Map, Time Map, Trial Director).
• Complete working knowledge of federal, state and local court and administrative rules.
• Excellent oral, written, technical and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and off-hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and maintain case materials for assigned matters.
• Create, maintain and update electronic and paper case files.
• Research and ensure compliance with local court and agency submissions.
• Calculate, docket, calendar and communicate deadlines.
• File documents with courts and administrative agencies.
• Prepare subpoenas and coordinate witness-related payments.
• Schedule court reporters and videographers and track certifications.
• Conduct legal and factual research on individuals, corporations, and opposing counsel.
• Assist with discovery requests, responses and indexing of documents.
• Prepare exhibits for depositions, hearings and trials.
• Draft notices, appearances, and various filings.
• Prepare first drafts of client and opposing counsel correspondence.
• Draft simple form documents (ADR stipulations, disclosures, etc.).
• Proofread documents and perform cite checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
