New Narrative, a nonprofit in Oregon, seeks a Senior People Relations Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to leaders and manage complex employee relations, workplace investigations, compliance, and organizational change. The role partners with managers and executives to foster a high-performing, legally compliant, and trauma-informed workplace.

The position requires extensive experience with employment law, performance management, and organizational consulting, with a commitment to equity

Qualifications

• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required (PHR/SPHR may be accepted)
• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; Master's preferred
• 6+ years HR experience with employee relations and investigations
• Experience with federal and Oregon employment laws
• Behavioral health/nonprofit environment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Employee Relations & Workplace Investigations; advise leaders on corrective action and separations.
• Coach leaders on performance, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, change management, and difficult conversations.
• Support performance improvement, accountability, talent decisions, and organizational restructuring.
• Manage ADA interactive process, FMLA, Paid Leave Oregon, workers' compensation, and return-to-work planning.
• Interpret employment law, develop policy, coordinate responses to BOLI/EEOC matters, support litigation, assess risk.
• Analyze trends in employee relations, investigations, turnover, and compliance to recommend improvements.
• Develop and facilitate leadership training on employee relations, investigations, documentation, bias awareness, respectful workplaces, and legal compliance
