Job summary

Capstone Search Group is seeking a Senior Employee Benefits Financial Underwriting Consultant in Charlotte, NC. Hybrid schedule is available, with responsibilities spanning data analysis, modeling, and preparing financial deliverables for clients with complex health and welfare programs.

You will serve as a subject matter expert, support negotiations with carriers, and present findings through reports and renewals projections. Strong Excel and underwriting knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills and strong mathematical principles.
• Experience with insurance carrier data reporting systems.
• Knowledge of underwriting aspects: plan design, funding, risk, rating.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the sales and service team to develop plan strategies for clients based on your data analysis and financial projections.
• Utilize analytical tools and other utilization data available to identify emerging trends, patterns, and anomalies in claims.
• Utilize predictive modeling tools to develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Meet with clients to explain external market influencers and internal experience trends driving benefit costs.
