Job summary

Arc Aspicio is seeking an Emergency Communications Program Specialist to support federal clients, evaluating emergency communications, public alerting, and warning systems. Ideal candidates have 10+ years overall and 6+ years in emergency management and related fields.

The role is hybrid, with duties at client sites, Arc Aspicio DC office, and remote work. DC-area residents are required at the time of employment.

Qualifications

• 10 years of professional work experience
• 6 years of relevant experience in emergency management, public safety communications, homeland security, emergency preparedness
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) with 18 years of professional experience or Master’s Degree with 10 years of professional experience
• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship only; Public Trust or ability to obtain a position of trust/Federal security clearance
• Knowledge of emergency communications, public alerting, and related systems
• Experience assessing environments and improving technology adoption, integration, readiness
• Strong written and oral communication and collaboration skills; leadership potential
• Ability to collaborate remotely and in-person

Responsibilities

• Identify operational needs and capability improvements with stakeholders
• Assess emergency communications and alerting infrastructures for effectiveness and readiness
• Evaluate technology implementations within emergency management environments
• Coordinate with agencies, vendors, grant recipients, and stakeholders throughout assessments
• Facilitate interviews, workshops, data collection, and site visits
• Provide guidance and training on technology adoption and best practices
• Communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Advise leadership on modernization initiatives and risks
• Contribute to business development and new capabilities
