We are seeking a full-time Senior EMC Technician (2nd Shift) in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for developing advanced test procedures, independently setting up and running complex tests, identifying issues, and proposing solutions.
Essential Functions
- Develop and review advanced test schedules to determine readiness for execution.
- Conduct prioritization activities, develop testing plans, and communicate outcomes to the team.
- Perform advanced testing using appropriate measurement skills, equipment operation, and tool utilization.
- Apply procedures and diagnose issues as required.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of test equipment and records.
- Develop, define, and administer tests aligned with engineering test procedures.
- Mentor less experienced technicians (Level 1 & 2).
- Move work and test equipment to and from work areas.
- Lift up to 55 pounds as needed to perform job functions.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology, Vocational Certificate in Electronics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Technician in Calibration, EMC, RF, Antenna, Reliability, Electronics, or related fields.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with tools and measurement devices.
- Strong electrical aptitude with electrical equipment and test devices.
- Ability to develop test/calibration schedules and operate equipment independently.
- Advanced knowledge of electronics and mechanical theory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lead or assist with engineering processes.
- Ability to create and improve test/calibration procedures.
- Ability to analyze testing/calibration data and communicate findings.
- Ability to move work and test equipment as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in calibration, reliability, or electronics.
- Experience working in a calibration or test lab environment.
- Knowledge of ISO9000, ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949 standards.
