Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an EMC Engineering professional to lead testing, troubleshooting, and design efforts for electrical and electronic components on Caterpillar products. You will collaborate with a global team to support EMC across Cat Technology.

The role requires a degree in engineering or science with EMC design or RF physics, plus deep EMC testing experience. Office is Mossville, IL with onsite work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science with EMC design or RF physics is required.
• Deep experience with Electromagnetic Compatibility testing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
• History of complex troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and execute EMC test plans for electrical and electronic systems and components.
• Investigate and troubleshoot EMC issues and test equipment.
• Manage EMC testing projects and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Mentor technicians and engineers in EMC hardening of systems and components.
• Automate testing using EMC tools and AI.
