Job summary

Salt in Houston seeks a Master Electrical Compliance Engineer to lead EMC/EMI design, testing, and debugging for server and compute hardware in an ISO/IEC 17025 lab environment.

You will develop and execute EMC test plans, review OEM/partner data, and publish formal reports. The role includes energy-efficiency testing for ENERGY STAR, EPEAT, EU Lot 9, and collaboration with BIOS/firmware teams on power management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Electrical/electronic hardware engineering experience.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong EMC/EMI engineering and testing experience.
• Experience with PCB-level EMC design and troubleshooting.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 or similar accredited lab environment.
• Experience with servers and storage or similar electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMC/EMI design, testing, and debugging for complex hardware.
• Develop and execute EMC test plans, including emissions and immunity testing.
• Review OEM/partner EMC test data and reports.
• Troubleshoot EMC failures and identify design-level solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to hardware and product teams.
• Support energy-efficiency testing and regulatory submissions.
