An established industry player is seeking a Senior Embryologist to lead the Embryology Laboratory. This role involves executing daily functions, managing workflows, and ensuring mastery in embryology and andrology procedures for In Vitro Fertilization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences and over 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to mentor junior staff and work closely with a dedicated team of professionals in a supportive environment.
The Senior Embryologist is responsible for executing all daily functions of the Embryology Laboratory. They are fully competent in all technical aspects of assisted reproductive technology and capable of managing the workflow of the lab. The senior embryologist reports monthly to the offsite laboratory director and works closely with lab staff, clinical nurses, physicians, and the practice manager of the fertility department. They are responsible for training and mentoring junior or staff embryologists. Must demonstrate mastery of all embryology and andrology procedures needed for In Vitro Fertilization and the ability to lead the lab team as well as work independently.
Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences.
Minimum of 5+ years in a clinical laboratory setting performing basic and advanced embryology techniques with experience in in-vitro fertilization.
Good written and verbal communication skills. Position may require rotating to other VMG locations as necessary.
