Job summary

Elma Electronic in Fremont, CA is seeking a Senior Engineer, Integration & Test to lead the integration and testing of advanced embedded computing systems. This hands-on technical leadership role focuses on troubleshooting, verification, and qualification across board-, chassis-, and system-level tests.

You will mentor Integration & Test staff, develop robust test plans, automate regression tests, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and customers to ensure on-time,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in embedded system integration, test engineering, or qualification testing.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring team members.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of VPX, VME, Ethernet, SATA, RS-232/422/485, JTAG, and FPGA systems.
• Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, LabVIEW, Perl, Ruby).
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multimeters, iPerf, CrystalDisk).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Integration & Test activities and project execution.
• Integrate, configure, troubleshoot, and test embedded systems.
• Install, configure, and validate OS, firmware, drivers, networking, and test software.
• Execute functional, verification, validation, and environmental testing.
• Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Support root cause analysis and design reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Project Engineering, and customers.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and configuration control.
