Job summary

Logisnext Americas Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to own embedded software for connected solutions within forklift systems.

You will lead architecture, integration, and validation across telematics, LiDAR, AI cameras, and UWB, while guiding suppliers and cross-functional teams. The role combines technical execution with roadmap development, SIL/HIL validation, and production stability efforts in a hybrid-office setting in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
7+ years of embedded software engineering experience with a proven track record in an OEM environment.
Experience managing embedded software products from concept through EOL, including feature prioritization and quality.
Proficiency with software configuration management and lifecycle tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines, ticketing systems).
Experience developing automated test scripts and automation frameworks to verify software and feature functionality.
Working knowledge of embedded software engineering best practices, software architecture, and real-time control systems.
Experience with vehicle communication protocols-CAN, ability to analyze data/logs using tools like CANAnalyzer, PCAN & Network analyzer.
Hands-on experience with software debugging and test instruments, including debuggers, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.

Responsibilities

Define the embedded software vision, roadmap, and technical strategy for connected solutions components you own.
Manage end-to-end software release processes, including branching, documentation, and validation alignment to industry standards.
Lead embedded software architecture and integration for telematics, LiDAR, AI cameras, and UWB; act as SME for interactions with core control systems.
Serve as primary technical contact for software and electronics suppliers; conduct technical reviews and RFQs.
Lead system-level software validation (SIL/HIL); support prototype builds and field trials for performance, reliability, and safety.
