Job summary

Vigilant Engineering, LLC is seeking a mid-to-senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and modify BSP code, drivers, kernel and device tree support for production-grade hardware. You will author design documents, test plans, and perform bring-up and validation on prototype hardware with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong C/C++, Zephyr, embedded Linux, and Windows OS proficiency, plus experience with ARM-Cortex-M/A, BLE, I2C/SPI/UART, and RTOS.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Strong proficiency across multiple embedded development languages including C/C++, Zephyr, embedded Linux and Windows OS, plus Python and microPython.

Responsibilities

• Develop/modify BSP code including bootloaders, device drivers, kernel and device tree support.
• Authoring design documents and software/firmware test plans.
• Perform embedded software bring-up on prototype hardware and validation on production intent.
• Track test progress, bugs, and fixes and produce progress reports.
• Design, implement, debug, and characterize embedded systems with end-to-end ownership from concept to production.
