Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions in the United States seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design and implement software for avionics and mission-critical systems, applying C/C++ and Python in LynxOS and VxWorks environments.

You will work on I/O frameworks, data interfaces, and persistent storage, collaborate across teams, and contribute to scalable, reliable software infrastructure critical to national defense.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development and/or testing.
• Proven expertise in C/C++ and object-oriented design for embedded systems
• Embedded C in avionics environment, Python (2.7 and 3.12)
• Working knowledge of I/O architecture, protocol handling, memory management, and data structures in a C environment.
• Proficiency in HLR/LLR generation, review, and traceability
• Quick learner with strong initiative and drive

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an I/O framework supporting multiple protocols and data interfaces
• Define and maintain data dictionaries and specifications
• Contribute to long-term strategy for scalable, maintainable software infrastructure
