PACCAR's Silicon Valley Innovation Center in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to write, maintain, and deploy code for vehicle technologies including telematics, sensor data, and edge/cloud architectures.

You will lead hands-on development, oversee external resources, enforce code quality, and contribute to CI/CD, documentation, and best practices in a fast-moving, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or another relevant field is required.
• 7+ years of industry experience in software development, including at least 3 years deploying production embedded software.
• Ability to self-direct and collaborate in a small team environment.
• Interest in trucks, automobiles, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software for vehicle-connected technologies on edge devices and cloud platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable code following standards and best practices.
• Manage version control with Git/GitHub including branching and releases.
• Supervise external development resources to align with goals and quality standards.
• Create and maintain documentation for software design, development, and deployment procedures.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to CI/CD improvements.
• Champion software quality through testing standards (unit/integration/system).
• Support deployment and monitoring in production and respond to issues as needed.
