Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, Utah is seeking a senior embedded software lead for the Sentinel Program. You will architect and lead development of mission-critical real-time software, mentor engineers, and drive integration across boards, drivers, and middleware.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, extensive C++ and RTOS experience, and strong leadership/communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure performance and reliability of critical systems.

Qualifications

• 14 years with Bachelor's in relevant field (or equivalent experience).
• Must be a US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance and SAP eligibility.
• 10 years of software experience in C++ and real-time embedded systems.
• 5 years of systems engineering and test experience with architecture, HWIL, and sim testing.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and executive communication skills.
• Experience with EVMS, scheduling, and technical scope execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the AVE Flight Guidance, Navigation, and Controls team and architect complex systems.
• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of mission-critical software products.
• Integrate board support packages and drivers for real-time embedded systems.
• Mentor software engineers and contribute to formal testing and defect resolution.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure performance and reliability of Sentinel Program systems.
