Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks a Sr. Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead mission-critical software for the Sentinel Program. The role focuses on GNC software, real-time embedded systems, and middleware integration.

You will architect complex systems, drive design, development, testing, and deployment, mentor engineers, and ensure robust performance through kernel tuning, IPC, and board support package work.

Qualifications

• 14+ years with a Bachelor's in a relevant field (or 12 with a Master's, 10 with a PhD, or 4 extra years in lieu).
• US Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance and eligibility for SAP.
• 10+ years of software experience in C++, real-time embedded systems, OO design.
• 5+ years of systems engineering and test with architecture, hardware-in-the-loop, and simulation testing.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and team management.
• Experience with EVMS, scheduling, and technical scope execution.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership within the Flight Systems GNC software team.
• Architect complex systems and lead design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Develop and integrate board support packages and drivers; configure RTOS.
• Middleware integration and IPC; optimize throughput on real-time embedded systems.
• Mentor software engineers and participate in formal testing approaches.
• Support Sentinel Program in Roy, Utah.
