**This position within the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) will support Hill Air Force Base and other locations as required**
SEI advances software engineering principles and practices and serves as a national resource in software engineering and computer security. SEI works closely with academia, defense and government organizations, and industry to continually improve software-intensive systems. Our core purpose is to help organizations improve software engineering capabilities and develop or acquire high quality software, on budget and on time.
Position Summary:
SEI is seeking a senior embedded software engineer to perform embedded software systems analysis and to develop strategic partnerships with customers located in Hill AFB, UT. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting customers with efforts related to software development and cybersecurity from a cost, schedule and performance perspective; integrating with the customer contractor software development team to provide on-the-spot technical advice; helping to address known issues and communicating progress; assessing the credibility of software development plans for future performance; assisting customers in the proper application of tools, techniques, and procedures to solve some of the most difficult problems in software engineering and cybersecurity.
