Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Digital Embedded Solutions Team. You will translate product requirements into SW/HW specs, design and develop device drivers for SoCs, and contribute to embedded software, microcode, and bare metal drivers while enabling performance analysis and profiling.

You will collaborate with software architects, ensure coding standards, and work across emulation platforms and evaluation boards within a global engineering team.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 5-7 years of industry experience.
• Experience with firmware and bare metal drivers for MCUs, DSPs, or heterogeneous SoC architectures.
• Experience in bootloaders and device drivers.
• Experience with debugging silicon, hardware, and software using IDE and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
• Good understanding of RTOS concepts and use of FreeRTOS, Zephyr, and/or Linux as an embedded OS.
• Proficiency in C and/or C++ with good software engineering practices.
• Knowledge of ARM cores and bus architectures.
• Experience with UART, SPI, I2C, and other interfaces.
• Hands-on debugging tools: GDB, JLink, OpenOCD; CI/CD and tools like Git/Jenkins.

• Translate product requirements into SW and HW requirements.
• Collaborate with software architects to design and develop device driver software for SoC solutions.
• Develop embedded SW, microcode, and bare metal drivers for SoC products.
• Develop software for performance analysis and profiling.
• Ensure software development, testing, debugging, integration, and documentation across emulation platforms and boards.
• Communicate effectively and work as a team in a global, diverse software group.
• Operate independently across multiple geographical locations.
