Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support an enterprise defense, space, and security program in Kent, WA. You will work on code generation for deeply embedded systems and SDRs for DoD satellite systems, with a Top Secret clearance requirement.

The role offers hybrid work in Kent, WA with 2 days remote, and requires extensive C/C++, Linux, and embedded software experience. You will collaborate across disciplines and contribute to hardware/software integration

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 9+ years of experience.
Active Top Secret security clearance.
5+ years of embedded systems programming in C/C++ on Linux.
Experience supporting satellite-based systems and DoD programs.
Knowledge of virtualization, specifically VxWorks, and PetaLinux.

Responsibilities

Support code generation for deeply embedded systems aligned with requirements.
Create scalable, open-architecture solutions for interoperability and growth.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to rapidly prototype hardware-based solutions.
Develop, integrate, and validate software on target processors for reliable execution.
Implement embedded software in FPGA-based systems interfacing with hardware.
Build out BSP for FPGA hardware.
