Job summary

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test mission-critical embedded software for defense applications. You will work with C++, Python, and Linux, and must be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.

This onsite role offers relocation assistance and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. You will collaborate with software architects and engineers in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver robust, secure software in a DoD context.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
• Experience with embedded C/C++ in multi-threaded product software.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests and ensuring code reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of embedded software for communications products.
• Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure reliability of systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with embedded and networking components.
• Maintain and improve software architecture with system architects and leads.
• Support full SDLC in a secure environment.
