Job summary

Assurance Technology Corporation is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Advanced Solutions Group. This role focuses on real-time embedded systems for space, airborne and terrestrial applications, designing, developing, integrating and deploying software.

You will mentor junior engineers, influence system architectures, lead major subsystems, and collaborate with Systems, Electrical, RF, DSP and Firmware teams to deliver trusted, high-performance solutions across the product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field
• 5-10+ years of embedded software experience
• Experience with embedded processors or SoC-based systems
• Proficient in Linux-based development and GNU toolchains
• Experience with version control, CI pipelines, and bug tracking
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software in C/C++ for SoC platforms.
• Lead software solutions for mission-critical sensing and control systems.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, RF, DSP and Firmware engineers.
• Support architecture definition, design reviews, and trade studies.
• Perform integration, debugging, optimization, and verification.
• Contribute to system-level performance analysis and reliability.
• Support products through development, qualification, production, and deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical direction.
• Participate in proposals, roadmapping, and new-product initiatives.
