Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to work on our radar products, supporting R&D and product engineering. You will develop, integrate, and deliver embedded software on custom hardware, with a focus on Linux systems and buildroot in a fast-paced team.

The role requires 4+ years of object-oriented development, a Bachelor's in CS/CE, U.S. Person status, and on-site work in San Diego with some travel to Los Angeles. DoD security awareness is helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of professional object-oriented software development.
• Experience building embedded Linux systems with Buildroot.
• Strong Linux development experience and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, CI, TDD).
• U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.
• DoD security clearance preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Research & Development and Production software development for radar products.
• Support system integration of software on custom hardware.
• Support deployed software capabilities for U.S. and international customers.
• Work on-site in San Diego, CA with some travel to Los Angeles, CA.
