Job summary

RTX’s Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join product development teams. The role supports the full software lifecycle across military and commercial programs from concept to maintenance, developing real-time C++ software on Linux/VxWorks and collaborating with Systems Engineers to meet user needs.

The position requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, strong C++ real-time development, and a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in C++ design paradigms and real-time software on Linux or RTOS (VxWorks).

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
