Job summary

Astemo Ltd. is seeking a Design Engineer to develop embedded software for EPS Electric Power Steering systems. You will analyze requirements, design, code, build, test, and support integration and delivery. The role includes troubleshooting and ensuring quality and safety conformance.

The candidate should have 5+ years in automotive embedded software, experience with AUTOSAR, MISRA/ISO26262, and steering-domain knowledge. Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or EE is required. Travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software development in C for automotive.

• Detailed knowledge of EPS or steering systems.
• Experience with AUTOSAR libraries and configurations.
• Proficiency in signal processing and control feedback concepts.
• Strong understanding of safety standards (MISRA, ISO26262).
• Ability to read schematics and ECU datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and communicate with OEM engineers.
• Develop software requirements specifications and architecture subsections.
• Develop and review software design, unit tests, and integration tests.
• Lead or participate in software design reviews and technical impact analysis.
• Support integration, debugging, and delivery of EPS software.
