PACCAR Silicon Valley Innovation Center in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy software for vehicle-connected technologies across edge devices and cloud platforms.

You will lead code quality, CI/CD, and collaboration with internal teams, mentoring external resources, and driving best practices for production deployments in a fast-paced innovation environment. This role offers high visibility, large-scale impact on telematics and onboard systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 7+ years in software development, with at least 3 years in production embedded software.
• Ability to adapt, be creative, and think outside the box.
• Interest in trucks, automobiles, and technology.
• Ability to self-direct in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software for vehicle-connected technologies (edge and cloud).
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and standards.
• Manage version control with Git/GitHub, including branching and release management.
• Supervise external developers to align with project goals and quality.
• Create and maintain documentation for design, development, and deployment procedures.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to improve workflows.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for productivity and quality.
• Enforce testing standards (unit, integration, system).
• Support deployment and monitoring in production and respond to issues.
