Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Camden, NJ, with relocation options for qualified candidates. The role focuses on developing device drivers, BSPs, and bootloaders for sophisticated embedded systems supporting national security applications.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C/C++, embedded Linux, and low-level software, with a strong background in hardware bring-up, software testing, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years in software development; 5+ years in embedded drivers, BSPs, bootloaders, bare-metal or low-level development.

Responsibilities

• Develop drivers and board support packages for custom embedded systems.
• Diagnose and debug complex hardware-software boundary issues.
• Develop software to test manufactured PCBs and diagnose issues.
• Participate in peer reviews and track defects.
