Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to help design and build the next generation host networking stack for scalable Google Cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on high-performance networking, AI/ML integration, and system-level software that powers Google's services at enormous scale.

Ideal candidates have deep experience in C/C++, distributed systems, and embedded OS development, with a proven track record of delivering infrastructure-level solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C or C++.
• 3 years of experience developing AI/ML networking solutions and host-networking stacks.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 3 year of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Triage issues and debug/track resolution impacting hardware, network, or service quality.
• Implement and execute testable system solutions; validate behavior of hardware units, prototypes, emulations, or simulations for use in the Google infrastructure.
• Advance approaches to offloads with Google hardware and software to build and test software in C++ for use on Google's ML Library solutions and Smart NICs.
• Develop next generation AI/ML networking solutions and Smart NICs from development to production.
