Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to design and optimize host networking stacks and AI/ML networking solutions within the NetInfra group. You will contribute to data center networks and end-host networking stacks, influencing the next decade of networking at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C or C++.
• 3 years of experience developing AI/ML networking solutions and host-networking stacks.
• 3 years of experience with distributed systems or compute/storage hardware architectures.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Implement and execute testable system solutions; validate behavior of hardware units, emulations, or simulations for use in Google infrastructure.
• Advance approaches to offloads with Google hardware/software to build and test software in C++ for ML library solutions and Smart NICs.
• Develop next generation AI/ML Networking solutions and Smart NICs at Google, taking projects from development into production.
