Job summary

ScioTeq LLC is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement features for rugged display and computer products used in demanding environments. You will deploy embedded Linux, coordinate with hardware and firmware teams, and ensure robust software architectures for MIL-STD aligned systems.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded design, ARM architectures, Yocto, debugging, and system bring-up. Strong communication and self-motivation are essential; US persons only.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of embedded software design experience.
• BSEE, BSCS, or BSCE required.
• C/C++ coding and debugging expertise.
• Linux on embedded systems (Yocto preferred).
• Real-time embedded software system design experience.
• Hardware abstraction and board bring-up experience desired.
• ARM secure boot experience preferred.
• Familiar with development environment, tools, servers, and source code control.
• Algorithmic application development and optimization experience.
• Must be a self-motivated team player.
• US Person required.

ScioTeq Rugged Smart Display and Computer products are designed to provide high computing and video processing performance in extreme operating environments governed by MIL STD and EN military specifications. Designed with the latest commercially available CPU modules, we use embedded ARM microprocessors to sequence startup, handle HMI interfaces, coordinate I/O and control video processing. These products are rarely sold as “off the shelf” products. Customers typically require customization for their specific applications and requirements. This often requires creative problem solving, coordination with hardware and firmware engineers, and adaptable software designs.
