Leonardo DRS, Inc. in Melbourne, FL seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to architect, design, develop, integrate, verify, and sustain complex embedded software solutions. You will lead subsystems and provide technical guidance to junior engineers across projects.

The role requires strong expertise in embedded systems, hardware/software integration, system-level debugging, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust software for EOIS platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of embedded software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ and experience in Bare-Metal/FreeRTOS/Embedded Linux.

Aufgaben

• Lead design, development, integration, and verification of embedded software components.
• Own software architecture and implementation decisions for assigned products/features.
• Develop software for Bare-Metal, RTOS, and Embedded Linux environments.
• Design and implement low-level drivers and middleware.
• Lead software integration with processors, FPGA designs, sensors, imaging systems, and peripherals.
• Perform root-cause analysis on complex software/system issues.
• Develop requirements, architecture docs, and verification procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers in design and debugging techniques.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, verification, and manufacturing teams.
