Job summary

Bayside is seeking a Software Engineer to join a small team building a proprietary motion control tool for robotic equipment. You will own analysis, testing, programming, commissioning, and integration of software with laser and chiller subsystems.

The role requires strong embedded C++ experience, a solid electrical background, and familiarity with EtherNet/IP. You’ll contribute to a multi‑year project and help optimize factory automation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is required.
• 8–12 years in R&D embedded software development.
• 5+ years in intensive embedded C++ programming.
• Experience with industrial capital equipment, laser equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, test, and program control applications for a multi‑million dollar project.
• Commission and adjust software for robotics, laser, and chiller integration.
• Collaborate with a small team to integrate mechanical components into one tool.
• Support diagnostics, deployment, and ongoing improvements in facility use.
