Job summary

Echodyne Corp. is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to focus on On-Radar Firmware. You will design and execute tests for embedded radar software, analyze requirements, and ensure quality across firmware and SDK interactions, while mentoring junior engineers.

The role involves hands-on testing, including hardware-in-the-loop, and collaboration with firmware and software teams to strengthen testability and overall product quality. An exempt, full-time position based in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software testing, firmware QA, or embedded systems test engineering.
• Experience validating feature-level behavior, commands, and SDK interactions.
• Knowledge of embedded systems testing principles and design techniques.
• Experience with test automation and Python preferred.
• Experience with hardware-dependent environments and flashing firmware.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain feature-level and end-to-end test scenarios for embedded systems, radar firmware, and SDKs.
• Analyze requirements and architecture to define test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria for radar functionality and commands.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and reports; manage defects through resolution.
• Perform manual, exploratory, and hardware-in-the-loop testing to identify risks, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Build and maintain automated tests where they add value, contributing to existing frameworks.
• Collaborate with firmware, product, and software teams to improve testability and quality.
• Support test environments, automation infrastructure, and test execution across projects/releases.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote testing best practices.
