Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer Staff for a client in San Jose, CA. This is a full-time, direct hire position, with 100% onsite work. The role will focus on embedded firmware, high-performance storage solutions, and real-time algorithm development.

You will design, implement and test firmware in C/C++, perform model simulations and data analysis, and collaborate with remote teams to meet product specifications and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of embedded firmware development experience, HDD experience preferred.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Experience with storage caching architectures and real-time algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware and implement algorithms to meet product specifications and customer requirements.
• Apply statistical analysis and model simulation to identify and address complex issues.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot problems during firmware development and testing.
• Prepare design documents and conduct design and code reviews.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with remote development teams.
