Job summary

SDLC Technologies seeks a QA Lead for Embedded Devices to drive quality across hardware-software integrations in Sunnyvale. You will own test strategy, design comprehensive test plans, and oversee functional, performance, and reliability testing for embedded consumer electronics.

You will maintain automated tests, enhance test frameworks, and collaborate with engineering to identify root causes and implement durable solutions throughout the lifecycle. Onsite role with hands-on testing emphasis.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in QA roles focused on embedded systems in consumer electronics.
• Strong knowledge of QA principles and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on implementation experience with embedded concepts and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for embedded consumer electronic devices.
• Develop and execute detailed test cases for functional, performance, and reliability testing of hardware-software integrations.
• Analyze test results to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality for embedded systems.
• Maintain and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks for CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and configure test environments to simulate real-world usage for embedded devices.
• Evaluate and maintain QA processes to ensure adherence to industry best practices for embedded product development.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation for test procedures, defect reports, and quality metrics.
• Enhance existing test methodologies to improve efficiency and coverage for embedded device firmware and software.
• Analyze system logs and diagnostic data to pinpoint root causes of complex issues in embedded electronics.
• Implement solutions for identified defects by working closely with engineering teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain regression test suites to ensure stability and prevent regressions in new software releases.
