Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Embedded Engineering Manager, Home Networking to lead creation and optimization of a next-generation residential gateway.

You will manage a cross-functional team, drive software lifecycle from concept to delivery, and mentor engineers to ensure successful project outcomes. The role requires 10+ years in software development and 3+ years in engineering management, with strong skills in C/C++, embedded systems, and networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, network protocols, and related algorithms.
• Proficiency in embedded software programming using C/C++, with a strong understanding of coding best practices.
• Hands-on experience developing networking products, including access points, routers, and switches.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability to inspire and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and make tough decisions.
• Experience leading the design, building and deployment of complex and performant software solutions in production.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Proven track record of bringing consumer networking products from design to market.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of next-generation gateway, set goals and timelines; ensure adherence to best practices.
• Direct development and integration of industry frameworks and features; drive innovations.
• Architect and improve software platforms for performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware/software integration.
• Stay updated with trends and incorporate new ideas into development.
• Manage project timelines and budgets to deliver on time and within budget.
• Lead full lifecycle delivery of consumer networking projects.
• Handle multiple projects in parallel with smooth execution.
• Define strategic direction of consumer networks projects with leadership.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide growth feedback.
• Lead Consumer Networks Project team to high productivity and satisfaction.
