Apptronik is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer in Austin, Texas, to lead the OS architecture for humanoid robots. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, 5+ years in embedded Linux, and deep knowledge of the Nvidia ecosystem. Qualifications

• Proven ability to build a custom Linux distribution from scratch.
• Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, Buildroot, or equivalent.
• Deep familiarity with Nvidia Jetson hardware.
• Hands-on experience with OverlayFS and fail-safe OTA updates.
• Experience with LUKS disk encryption and TPM 2.0 integration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain a custom Linux distribution using Yocto.
• Perform low-level kernel configuration to meet latency requirements.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline for OS image generation.
• Implement end-to-end Secure Boot chains with TPM 2.0.
• Create and maintain documentation for platform architecture.
