Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for embedded systems in veterinary diagnostics, focusing on cross‑platform software across Linux, Windows IoT, and microcontrollers.

You will design telemetry, over‑the‑air updates, and device connectivity while collaborating with cloud/AI teams and leading architectural decisions. Strong C/C++, C#, and Node.js skills plus microcontroller hands-on work are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.
• 5–7+ years in C, C++, C#, and Node.
• Experience with embedded Linux, Windows IoT, multimedia, computer vision, MQTT, TCP/IP, UART, and I2C.
• Hands-on development with microcontrollers.
• Strong communication skills.
• Minimal travel (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software across Linux, Windows IoT, and microcontroller platforms.
• Create telemetry, monitoring, over-the-air updates, and device connectivity capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cloud and AI.
• Lead architecture and technical design.
• Support cybersecurity and lifecycle documentation.
