Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in Santa Clara is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize real-time location software for GNSS-enabled wireless platforms.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver location solutions and collaborate with hardware and systems teams on algorithms, DSP, and performance. The role requires a BS/MS/PhD and 2+ years of related experience; RTOS, C/C++, and ARM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, review, and maintain real-time embedded software in C and assembly language.
• Develop software within a multi-threaded architecture, including inter-process communication and multiple SW/FW interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to verify hardware features and debug hardware-related issues.
• Collaborate with systems teams on algorithm development, digital signal processing, and implementation.
• Work closely with test teams to diagnose and resolve system-level functional and performance issues.
• Contribute to software architecture, system design discussions, and development methodology.
• Optimize software for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.
