Job summary
Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Senior Firmware & Embedded Engineer to design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for advanced air-conditioning products in Indianapolis, IN. You will lead Wi-Fi development, coordinate with hardware, systems, production teams, and ensure quality, reliability, safety, and cybersecurity across devices.
You will influence architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive the embedded software roadmap while aligning with global standards and cloud/mobile
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years designing and developing Linux embedded software.
- 5+ years of C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- 3+ years’ experience with RTOS and/or bare metal programming.
Responsibilities
- Provide architectural documentation to the technical design team.
- Conduct cybersecurity reviews during product development phases.
- Share architectural knowledge with product owners and leadership during scrums.
- Deliver detailed workflows, timelines, and deliverables to engineers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with hardware, mobile, and cloud engineers for end-to-end functionality.
- Lead the software development lifecycle from scope to release.
