Job summary
Dymax in Torrington, CT is seeking a hands-on Firmware Equipment Engineer to develop robust embedded firmware for our light-curable equipment platforms. You will translate customer needs into firmware requirements, implement real-time controls, and drive NPI through the Stage-Gate process from concept to release.
You will collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, Product, Test, Operations, and Service teams, perform bench validation and hardware-in-the-loop testing, ensure signal integrity for
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 10+ years in embedded firmware for electromechanical products.
- Strong C/C++ with real-time controls, drivers, bootloaders, GUI fundamentals.
- Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, RS-485, Ethernet/IP.
- Linux for embedded applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded firmware, drivers, and real-time controls for equipment platforms.
- Prototype, bench validate, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for firmware and hardware integration.
- Support SDLC practices, code reviews, and release documentation.
- Create design notes, state diagrams, and release notes.
