Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer III to design and develop production-quality firmware for professional battery, power, and LED lighting products used in cinema, broadcast, and content creation.

You will work with hardware, software, product management, and test teams to deliver battery management, lighting controls, wireless connectivity, and embedded communications across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, developing and maintaining embedded firmware.
• Proficiency with C for embedded systems and real-time constraints.
• Familiarity with ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers and bootloaders.
• Experience with unit testing and test automation in firmware projects.
• Ability to work across hardware, software, and test teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain embedded firmware for battery, power, and LED lighting products.
• Develop bootloader and application firmware for ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers.
• Create reusable embedded C libraries with unit tests and documentation.
• Develop production-ready embedded software through the product lifecycle.
• Perform board bring-up and on-target debugging using hardware tools.
• Develop low-level device drivers and hardware interfaces (SMBus/I2C, UART, SPI).
• Develop firmware for lighting-control protocols (DMX512, RDM, Art-Net, sACN).
• Implement Bluetooth LE and Wi‑Fi provisioning; secure MQTT connectivity.
