Job summary

Fieldpiece Instruments in Orange, CA seeks a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to drive connected HVACR tools. You will develop embedded firmware for wireless connected products, integrate sensors, and work across hardware, firmware and software teams to deliver reliable production systems.

Hybrid role based in Southern California with on-site three days per week and occasional in-office needs for onboarding, training, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• 7+ years of embedded firmware development for commercial products.
• Experience with wireless tech (BLE/Wi‑Fi) and sensor integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware for connected HVACR products.
• Design software for wireless communication between tools, sensors, and apps.
• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, electrical, mechanical, and product teams.
• Integrate sensors and embedded hardware into reliable production systems.
• Troubleshoot firmware and system-level issues to improve performance.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with employees typically working onsite three days per week.
